Definition

Excluded Wager means: Certain betting amounts will not be calculated into the effective bet statistics for bonus wagering requirements (WR), rebates, or VIP turnover requirements. In other words, these wagers "do not contribute toward the bonus."

Mechanism

Core reasons why platforms implement excluded wagers:

Purpose Description
Prevent Arbitrage To exclude low-risk or two-way (opposite) betting.
Prevent Wagering Abuse To prevent players from farming turnover on low-volatility markets.
Control Bonus Costs To avoid risk-free profits from high rebates.

Bet types commonly classified as excluded wagers:

  • Draw/Tie bets, 0 Handicap bets

  • Hedged/Opposite bets (two-way betting)

  • Low odds markets (e.g. < 1.30$)

  • Ties or specific legs in parlays/accumulators

  • Certain virtual sports or proprietary in-house games

Usage Scenarios

  • Calculating whether bonus Wagering Requirements (WR) have been met

  • Calculating cashbacks and rebates

  • Tracking turnover statistics for VIP upgrades

Risk / Compliance Points

Bonus terms and conditions must explicitly state "which bets qualify as valid/effective wagers."

Common Misconceptions

Misconception Description
"I bet a lot but didn't clear the wagering requirement." ❌ You likely placed bets on markets classified under "Excluded Wagers."
"The platform is scamming/blacklisting me." ❌ In most cases, the terms are clearly stated, but the player failed to read them.
